Dragonball Z: Burst Limit

Posted by ssjunhao on June 2, 2008

I’ve just had a try of the demo off the US market place, it is still not available at the local market place. It is a very short demo, with only 2 battles and 2 characters to use. Goku and Yamcha. And nope, Guko isn’t able to transform to any Super Sayian state nor Kaio-Ken because well, he doesn’t know that yet. (This battle is against his brother at planet Earth)

There are no tutorials here, just the loading screen with the actions mapping to the buttons on the controller. It is fairly simple. If you happen to not have played any of the Budokai series, its alright, when you pause the game, there will be a list move. So you can perform the famous Kamehameha.

One new element added is the changing of scenes while fighting. After perform some powerful moves, and watching those cut-scenes, you would be, lets say, fighting above the clouds now. I wonder if there are more scenes..

One big question now would be – Is it worth it to buy the Japanese version?(there wouldn’t be a ntsc-J Asian relese) There shouldn’t be any problem knowing the keys of the buttons now that there is the demo and story, well, it is still the same old story years ago. By watching the cut-scenes before the fight, you should have roughly know which part of the story you’re fighting for. If more help is needed, I’m sure a visit to gamesFAQ should settle it.
